Mr. M.K.Pathan, learned AGP appears for respondent no.2. Taking into consideration the fact that the learned Reference court has increased the quantum of compensation almost five fold than the one awarded by the Collector, we are inclined to grant stay to the execution of the award passed by the learned Reference Court. However, same shall be subject to deposit of 50% of the amount as awarded by the learned

Hence, the application is allowed. The execution of the impugned award is stayed subject to deposit of 50% of the amount as awarded by the learned Reference Court in this Court within a period of eight weeks from today. On depositing the said amount in this Court, the Registrar (J) is directed to invest the same in the Fixed Deposit in any Nationalized Bank, initially for the period of five years and subsequently to renew the same on year to year basis.
