The father of the petitioner viz. Yuvraj Shrawan Chawale was in employment of the respondent who died on 28/08/2001. 3.

The petitioner was born on 09/04/1991 and as such has attained majority on 09/04/2009. Subsequent thereto it appears that the petitioner has pursuaded his request for grant of compassionate appointment which is informed to be not considered till this date. 4.

The petitioner applied in February 2010. Even if we consider that he was indisposed for some period i.e. upto 2012, still the petitioner owes an explanation as to what prompted him to approach this Court after lapse of almost ten years.

There is no convincing explanation. The petition, in our opinion suffers from delay and laches. As such, same stands dismissed. No costs.
