By this writ petition, the petitioners seek a direction to be issued to the respondents to sanction and release grant-in-aid for the B.Sc. (Computer Science) Course from the year 1991-92 and onwards. An alternate prayer is also made to sanction and release the grants from 2012-13 onwards.

The writ petition was heard on 08/02/2016 and it was held that the petitioners would not have any legal right to receive grant-in-aid from the year 1991-92 onwards and the prayer in that regard came to be refused. The writ petition was thereafter adjourned to enable Shri A. S. Fulzele, the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents to take instructions with regard to releasing grants for the period from 2012-13 onwards. Today, on instructions, Shri A. S. Fulzele, the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents, states that necessary decision in that regard would be taken by the respondents within a period of six weeks from today.

2/2 wp6181.15 By accepting the said statement, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to take necessary decision on the proposal submitted by the petitioner for release of grants for the period from 2012-13 and onwards within a period of six weeks from today.

Order accordingly. No costs.
