At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that if the relief made in Writ Petition No. 2878 of 2025 is granted in the form of a direction to the respondents to decide the representation within a time bound period, then the relief in Writ Petition No. 4609 of 2025 will not survive. In Writ Petition No. 2878 of 2025, the petitioner has requested that the petition be treated as a representation and that the respondent authorities be directed to decide the same within a stipulated period.

We, therefore, direct the Chief Officer, Municipal Council, Washim, to treat the petition i.e. writ petition no. 2878 of 2025, as a representation and to decide the issue in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from today.

In view of the above order, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the writ petition No. 4609 of 2025. 5.

Permission is granted. Both the writ petitions are disposed of accordingly.
