The challenge raised in the present writ petition is to the final voters list as published on 31.08.2023. According to the petitioners, names of various eligible voters have not been included in the final voters list. The objection raised by the petitioners has been rejected on 30.08.2023 by the Election Officer.

It is seen that elections for electing representatives of the workers in accordance with Section 28 of the Maharashtra Industrial Relations Act, 1946 is under process. As per the Election Program, the last date for submission of nomination forms is till 4.00 p.m. today. We find that interference at this stage of the Election Program is not feasible. The petitioners are at liberty to raise a dispute with regard to the voters list after conclusion of the election in accordance with the remedy provided under the Act of 1946.

Keeping all the points raised in the writ petition open, it is disposed of in the aforesaid terms with no order as to costs.
