The petitioner's father died on 09.08.2024 for which he has applied for emergency parole. The Authority considered the urge and vide order dated 13.08.2024 took a decision to release the petitioner on emergency parole. However, the Authority directed the petitioner to furnish two sureties of sum of Rs.50,000/-, personal bond of Rs.50,000/- and to deposit cash security of Rs.50,000/-. Since the conditions are onerous, the petitioner has approached to this Court.

The Authority has verified the cause and being genuine has reached to the conclusion to release the petitioner on emergency parole. We do not understand the logic to direct a petitioner to deposit sum of Rs.50,000/- which in other words amounts to denial of his parole. The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is ready to deposit cash security of Rs.10,000/-. 4.

In view of above, the petition is allowed. We hereby modified the impugned order to the extent of

2 910.wp.717.24 reducing surety amount to the tune of Rs.25,000/- and cash to the tune of Rs.10,000/-.

The Authority shall act in accordance with the modification.

The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
