The petitioner - Society with an intention to open a new College for imparting B.S.W. and M.S.W. Courses applied for grant of permission on 30.12.2020. The Expert Committee recommended the case of the petitioner - Society and the respondent No.3 - University on 24.2.2021 has recommended the proposal for consideration by the State Government. 3.

According to the petitioner, the Information Officer has now informed the petitioner - Society that the petitioner's proposal is pending with the Department of Social Justice and the Special Assistance of the State of Maharashtra.

Limited prayer is made for direction to the respondents to take a decision upon the said proposal.

In view of the aforesaid, the writ petition is disposed of directing respondent No.2 - the Department of Social Justice, through its Secretary to take a decision on the petitioner - Society's proposal which has been forwarded to the respondent No.2 - the Department of Social Justice on 7.4.2021. The decision be taken within a period of eight weeks from today and communicated to the .....3/-

petitioner - Society.

The writ petition is disposed of. Rule accordingly. No costs.
