Learned counsel for the applicant (original respondent) does not press his application for vacating the stay and instead presses his application for expeditious hearing. Considering the facts of the case, it is in the interest of justice to expedite the hearing of the petition. Accordingly, Civil Application No.949/2016 is dismissed as not pressed and Civil Application No.2408/2016 is allowed. Since connected matters are placed for hearing on 3rd October, 2017, let this petition be placed on board along with those matters, i.e. Writ
