This is an application for grant of bail.

Heard learned counsel Shri M.N.Ali for the applicant and learned Additional Public Prosecutor Shri S.M.Ghodeswar for the State. Also, perused reply filed on behalf of the State.

The applicant is arrested on 21.8.2019 in connection with Crime No.439/2019 registered with Khadan Police Station, District Akola for offence under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

From reply, it is clear that the present applicant is not a public servant. Allegation against the present applicant is that he accepted powder smeared currency notes from complainant Mohd.Wajahat Mohd. Hajik Ansari, an engineering student, from and on behalf of Sanjay Pahurkar, Branch Manager of Maulana Azad Minority Financial Development Corporation at Akola and handed over the said .....2/-

ba843.19 10 to him. Said Sanjay Pahurkar is released on bail. The applicant is in jail.

Though chargesheet is filed, learned Additional Public Prosecutor Shri S.M.Ghodeswar for the State, fairly submitted that investigation is almost over only formality of filing of chargesheet is remained to be done. 6.

In view of the aforesaid, I pass following order:

ORDER

(a) The criminal application is allowed.

(b) Applicant-Shaikh Sadique Shaikh Gulab, in connection with Crime No.439/2019 registered with Khadan Police Station, District Akola for offence under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, be released on bail on his executing a P.R.Bond in the sum of Rs.25,000/- with one solvent surety of the like amount.

(c) The applicant shall attend the Anti Corruption Bureau at Akola once in a week i.e. on every Wednesday and shall be with the Bureau from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., till filing of chargesheet.

(d) With this, the criminal application stands disposed of accordingly.
