DATE :- AUGUST 23, 2022 The petitioner claims an additional increment having received the district award on 27.07.2018. The learned counsel for the respondent no.2 on instructions submits that on 01.07.2022 the State Government through Rural Development Department has issued an order stating therein that District Awardee Teachers would be entitled to benefit of additional increment where such award has been received prior to 04.09.2018. Copy of this communication dated 01.07.2022 is taken on record and marked 'A' for identification.

In view of aforesaid communication, the order dated 09.12.2021 which is impugned in the present writ petition is quashed and set aside. The statement made on behalf of respondent no.2 that within a period of eight weeks from today the petitioner would be granted aforesaid benefit is accepted. With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is allowed and disposed of. No costs.
