DATE : 20.10.2015 By this petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent - Collector to decide the petition filed by the petitioner under the Maharashtra Local Authority Members Disqualification Act, 1986.

According to the petitioner, though the Collector, Buldhana was duty bound to decide the petition filed by the petitioner within a period of 90 days, as per the provisions of Rule 7 of the Maharashtra Local Authority Members Disqualification Rules, 1987, the same is pending before the Collector for a period of more than six months. Shri Kale, the learned Assistant Government Pleader, on instructions from the Collector, Buldhana, states that the Collector, Buldhana would positively decide the petition within a period of two months.
