The grievance of the petitioner is that onerous condition of bearing the escort charges is imposed while granting emergency parole.

We note that the petitioner/prisoner is seeking emergency parole in view of the death of his brother on 31.8.2022. The application was preferred on 1.9.2022 and the reason given was that the petitioner desires to attend the post funeral rituals. We are further informed that the brother of the petitioner, who is also serving sentence, was released on emergency parole.

Insofar as the petitioner is concerned, the condition is imposed since the petitioner has shown propensity to abscond when released on parole. When he was released on parole of thirty days in the year 2012, he absconded for more than four years. 4.

In this view of the matter, we are not inclined to interfere. The petition is dismissed.
