Sanjay Pushparag Dange And ANR. v. The State Of Mah Chief Secy. And ANR.

IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT BOMBAY
NAGPUR BENCH, NAGPUR.
WRIT PETITION NO. 403 OF 2005 (Sanjay s/o Pushparaj Dongre & Anr. vs. The State of Maharashtra thr. Chief Secretary & Ors.) _____________________________________________________________________________ Office Notes, Office Memoranda of Coram, appearances, Court's orders or directions Court's or Judge's orders.
and Registrar's Orders.
CORAM : B.P. DHARMADHIKARI & P.N. DESHMUKH, JJ.
APRIL 28, 2016.
Nobody for the petitioners even today. There was no appearance for them even yesterday.
Ms. M.S. Rane, learned AGP for respondent Nos. 1 & 2 and Shri A.J. Dhoble, Advocate holding for Shri R.S. Parsodkar, learned counsel for respondent Nos. 5 to 8, point out that the policy for providing employment on compassionate ground permits grant of such appointment on Group 'C' post. Respondent Nos. 5 to 8 possessed requisite qualification and, therefore, ought to have been given such appointment on Group 'C' post. Inadvertently, they were placed in Group 'D' post and that error has been corrected subsequently and there was no promotion, hence entire challenge in the petition is misconceived. As nobody appears for the petitioners, we dismiss present writ petition for want of prosecution. Rule discharged. No order as to costs.
