By this petition, the petitioner seeks promotion to the post of Junior Clerk.

Ms Jog, the learned counsel for the respondent Nos.2 and 3, states on instructions that the case of the petitioner was placed before the Departmental Promotion Committee and the Committee has taken a decision to promote the petitioner. It is stated that necessary orders promoting the petitioner on the post of Junior Clerk would be issued at the earliest.

In view of the statement made by the learned counsel for the respondent Nos.2 and 3, the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed. The petition is, therefore, disposed of by accepting the statement made on behalf of the respondent Nos.2 and 3, which would be binding on them, with no order as to costs.
