s order Shri I.A. Fidvi, Advocate for Petitioners.

Smt. S.S. Jachak, Assistant Government Pleader for Respondent Nos.1 to 7.

CORAM : A.S. CHANDURKAR AND M.W. CHANDWANI, JJ. DATE : 6th MARCH, 2023 1.

The petitioners' contention is that the respondent Nos.8 and 9 have got the sale-deeds executed from them under the garb of money lending transaction. On such complaint being made, a preliminary inquiry was held by the Assistant Registrar, Co-operative Societies, acting under the provisions of the Maharashtra Money Lending (Regulation) Act, 2014 (for short, "the said Act"). In such inquiry dated 29-1-2019, it has been found that there was no material to conclude that the sale-deeds were an outcome of any money lending transaction. Being aggrieved, the petitioners have approached the Registrar General, Pune in exercise of revisional jurisdiction under Section 9 of the said Act. The said proceedings are pending with the said Authority since April 2022.

2.

In these facts, the only relief that can be granted to the petitioners is to direct the respondent No.4 to consider the revision application expeditiously on its own merits and take a decision in accordance with the provisions of the said Act.

With the aforesaid direction and keeping the points raised in the petition, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. (M.W. CHANDWANI, J.) (A.S. CHANDURKAR, J.) Lanjewar LANJEWAR 19:08
