Dated : 3 rd March, 2015 The total dues outstanding against the petitioner, including the amount of interest up to 31-1-2015, comes to Rs.4,24,371/-. Several attempts were made during the pendency of this petition to get this amount reduced to a maximum possible extent. The Chief Manager of the Bank was also personally present before this Court. After detailed deliberations, he has worked out the amount of Rs.68,765/-, which can be deducted from the total dues and the liability of the petitioner can be reduced to Rs.3,65,606/-. The petitioner was given chance to deposit this amount, if possible, in installments. The petitioner appearing in person has shown his inability to pay this amount. The certificate issued under Section 101 of the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, 1960 for recovery of the arrears of loan amount along with interest has attained the finality and the present proceedings arise out of the execution of such certificate.
