The only prayer made in this writ petition is to issue a direction to the respondent Nos.3 and 4 to decide the appeal preferred by the petitioner under Section 12 of the Maharashtra Village Police Patil (Recruitment, Pay, Allowance and Other Conditions of Service) Order 1968 (for short, "the Recruitment Order 1968"), within a stipulated period. It is further pointed out that, on enquiry made by the petitioner, it is learnt that the copy of appeal memo is not traceable.

Mr Ghogre, learned AGP, has no objection, if the such directions are issued.

In view of the fact that, the appeal is part heard and since the copy of appeal memo is not traceable, the petitioner shall submit a fresh copy of the appeal memo so as to enable the Authority to decide the same.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.4 to decide the appeal preferred by the petitioner under Section 12 of the Recruitment Order 1968, within eight weeks from the date of submission of fresh copy of appeal memo by the petitioner before the respondent No.4.
