The Petitioners, who are seven in number, make a grievance that their land was acquired for the purpose of National Highway and they were called on 9 October 2020 by Respondent No.3 to disburse the payment of compensation, their signatures were taken on vouchers, but till date, the amount is not disbursed.

If these allegations are correct, the Collector, Amravati should look into the matter as it is a matter of administrative discipline and that for such issues the citizens should not be made to approach the Court of law.

Learned Additional Government Pleader states that the copy of this Petition will be placed before the Respondent No.2 - Collector and the Respondent No.2 - Collector will call for explanation of the Respondent No.3 as regards the grievance of the Petitioners, and if the Petitioner's grievance is correct, then issue necessary directions.

We place the responsibility upon Respondent No.2 Collector of ensuring that the Respondent No.3 takes necessary steps as per the law.

With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
