By this criminal application, applicant nos.1 to 5 have prayed to allow them to prosecute the instant appeal in their capacity as legal heirs of deceased Wasudeo Satao, who came to be convicted by the learned Special Court for the offences punishable under Sections 7 and 13(1) read with Section 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

It is noted that during the pendency of appeal, original appellant Wasudeo Satao died. Death certificate of original appellant is stated to be placed on record. According to applicants, they have every hope to succeed in the appeal and as such, to remove the stigma whatsoever has been in the name of the original appellant.

1511appa670.15 2/2 In the circumstances, though learned Additional Public Prosecutor for respondent has opposed the criminal application, the same is allowed in the interest of justice.

The criminal appeal be shown for final hearing.
