Heard.

The petitioner (father of the respondent No.2) has challenged the order passed by the Family Court directing him to pay Rs.3,000/- per month to the respondent No.1 and Rs.2,000/ per month to the respondent No.2 towards interim maintenance. The contention of the petitioner is that his services are terminated in May, 2017 and he is not able to find a suitable job till date and, therefore, it is not possible for him to pay the amount as directed by the Family Court. The facts on record show that the petitioner is qualified and is an Engineer and had been working in Cytec India Speciality Chemicals and Materials Private Limited. The respondent No.1 is shown to be aged about 11 years and respondent No.2 is also shown to be aged about 11 years.

Considering the facts of the case, in my view,

2 wp850.18 the Family Court has not committed any error in directing the petitioner to pay interim maintenance and the amount of interim maintenance cannot be said to be exorbitant. I see no reason to interfere with the impugned order in the extraordinary jurisdiction. The petition is dismissed.
