In this petition, a challenge is raised to the judgment and order dated 28/11/2024 passed by the learned Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal, Nagpur Bench, Nagpur in Original Application No. 851/2022 filed by respondent praying for the interest on the delayed payment for the gratuity and pensionary benefits. The learned Tribunal while allowing the Original Application recorded the findings in para 4 and 5, which read thus, "4. According to the contesting respondents part of the delay was caused by Covid Pandemic. On this ground claim of the applicant for grant of interest on account of delayed payment cannot be rejected.

For the reasons discussed hereinabove, the O.A. is allowed in the following terms.

The respondents are directed to pay interest on delayed payment of pension and gratuity as per Rules 129-A and 129-B of The Maharashtra Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 1982 to the applicant within three months from today. No order as to costs."

On perusal of the record and the findings recorded by the Tribunal, we are of the opinion that, since no perversity is pointed out, and as the order of the Tribunal is just and proper, the petition deserves to be dismissed. Accordingly, the petition stands dismissed.
