By order dated 29/08/2022, on the basis of statement made by the learned Counsel for the appellant, the appellant was directed to deposit the entire amount of compensation with accrued interest within a period of eight weeks and stay was granted on the abovesaid condition. However, appellant has not deposited amount as directed.

Ms. Athalye, learned Counsel for the appellant submitted that now the cheque of the amount of compensation along with accrued interest is ready with her and she depositing the said cheque within a period of one week.

The implementation, effect and operation of the judgment dated 31/03/2021 passed by the Presiding Officer, Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement

33.CAF.504.22.odt Authority is stayed on condition that the appellant shall deposit the amount within a period of one week. On failure, the stay granted would automatically vacated without further reference to the Court.
