By this contempt petition, the petitioners seek action against the respondent for willful disobedience of the direction in the judgment dated 26/11/2015 in Writ Petition No.1593 of 2014. According to the petitioners, though by the judgment dated 26/11/2015, this court had directed the respondent to grant deemed date of promotion to the petitioners on the post of Circle Inspector from the date of passing of the examination, the respondent has not granted the deemed date of promotion to the petitioners from the date of passing of the examination.

Shri Fulzele, the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondent, states that this Court had not directed the respondent to grant deemed date of promotion to the petitioners from the date of passing of the examination the respondent was directed to grant promotion to the petitioners as Circle Inspector from a deemed date, prior to that of the petitioners in that case. We do not find any direction, as rightly submitted on behalf of the respondent, in our judgment dated 26/11/2015 to grant deemed date of promotion to the petitioners (respondent Nos.4 to 9 in the writ petition) from the date of passing of the examination as we

2/2 cp347.16 had directed the respondent to grant deemed date of promotion from the date prior to the date on which the petitioners in that petition were promoted. Therefore, there is no disobedience of the direction in the judgment dated 26/11/2015.

Hence, we dispose of the contempt petition with no order as to costs.
