DATED : APRIL 05, 2024 Learned Advocate for respondents No. 4 to 8 raised an objection to the maintainability of the petition as an alternate remedy is available under Clause 24 of the Maharashtra Scheduled Commodities (Regulation of Distribution) Order, 1975 before the Minister. When said fact is controverted, the Learned Advocate for the petitioner conceded the same and submitted that the petitioner may be permitted to withdraw the petition with liberty to apply before the competent Authority. He further urged that the period of limitation shall not come in the way of the petitioner while filing the revision petition.

In view of the same, the Writ Petition is disposed of as withdrawn with liberty as prayed for.

Needless to clarify, after filing the revision petition, the competent Authority shall dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible, in any case, within a period of six months from the date of filing of the petition.
