This is an application filed on behalf of the appellant seeking permission to deposit the amount of compensation as directed by this Court by order dated 13.08.2018. It is brought to the notice of this Court that subject to the deposit of the amount in stipulated period of time, by said order dated 13.08.2018 interim stay had been granted of the award passed by the Reference Court.

It is submitted that since the said amount could not be deposited in the stipulated period of time, the order of interim stay stood vacated.

It is now submitted that the cheque towards the deposit of the amount of compensation is ready and the permission may be granted in the interest of justice to deposit the same so that order of interim stay could be restored.

In view of the above, the application is allowed and the applicant/appellant is permitted to deposit the cheque towards amount of compensation within a period of two weeks from today. If the said amount is deposited within the aforesaid period of time, the interim stay granted on 13.08.2018 would stand restored.
