The only prayer made by the petitioner is for a direction to the respondent-Scrutiny Committee, to decide the caste claim of the petitioner within a time-frame.
It is the case of the petitioner that though the caste claim of the petitioner was referred to the Scrutiny Committee, in the year 2013, the same is not decided as yet.
Shri A.M.Deshpande, learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing for the Scrutiny Committee, states that if the caste claim of the petitioner is pending, the same would be decided by the Scrutiny Committee, within a reasonable

By accepting the statement made by the learned Assistant Government Pleader, we dispose of the Writ Petition, with a direction to the Scrutiny Committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioner as early as possible and positively within a period of fifteen months, from the date of appearance of the petitioner before the Scrutiny Committee. The petitioner undertakes to appear before the Scrutiny Committee on 17 th November, 2015.
Order accordingly. No costs.
