Shri M.K. Pathan, A.P.P. for the respondents/State. CORAM :
Z.A. HAQ AND PUSHPA V. GANEDIWALA, JJ.
DATED : 24 th SEPTEMBER, 2019 Heard.
The relief sought in this petition is for issuing directions to the respondents to release the petitioner - a life convict, who has already undergone about 24 years of imprisonment, including remission.
Learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on behalf of the respondents, has filed additional affidavit in pursuance to the order dated 13/09/2019 and submitted that 24 years of imprisonment including remission period will be completed on 01/11/2019 and the petitioner - convict would be released subject to his good conduct and behavior. In that view of the matter, it appears that the relief sought for by the petitioner stands redressed and therefore, the petition stands disposed of.
