Learned Advocate for the appellant seeks leave to withdraw the appeal. Learned Advocate for the respondent submits that in view of the amendment to Schedule appended to the Railway Accidents and Untoward Incidents (Compensation) Rules, 1990 in term of Rule 3, the respondent is entitled to get the compensation double the amount awarded by the Tribunal. 2.

The appellant was directed to pay total sum of Rs.1,20,000/- (Rs. One Lac Twenty Thousand Only) to the appellant. In view of above, the appellant shall deposit the amount of Rs.2,40,000/- (Rs. Two Lacs Forty Thousand Only) within four months from today. The respondent shall not be entitled to any interest on this amount.
