In terms of the directions issued on 25/09/2024, the MTP Board from the Government Medical College and Hospital, Nagpur has forwarded its report.
The report dated 26/09/2024 disclose that the patient appeared before the MTP Board on 26/09/2024 and she was examined clinically. The Board also reviewed all other parameters and her ultrasound findings. Pursuant thereto, the Board has opined as below : (i) Patient is pregnant with single live intrauterine pregnancy of 26 weeks.
(ii) The patient is mentally and physically fit to undergo medical termination of pregnancy.
(iii) Board has allowed termination of pregnancy to the patient. The report of MTP Board is taken on record and marked 'X' for identification.

In the wake of the aforesaid opinion of the MTP Board that the pregnancy of the patient can be terminated, we permit the Board to

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. 4.
We would like to place on record our appreciation for learned counsel Ms S. H. Bhatia, appointed through High Court Legal Services Authority, who has rendered able assistance in the petition.
