By this writ petition, the petitioners have sought a direction against the Waqfs Board to conduct the elections of the Managing Committee/Executive Committee of the respondent no.2-Waqf.

Shri A.J. Mirza, the learned counsel for the petitioners, states that the petitioners have moved an appropriate appeal/application before the Waqfs Board with a prayer to conduct the elections of the Managing Committee/Executive Committee of the respondent no.2-Waqf, but the said application is not decided, till date. It is stated that the grievance of the petitioners would stand redressed at this stage, if a direction is issued to the Waqfs Board to decide the application expeditiously.

Shri F.T. Mirza, the learned counsel for respondent-Waqfs Board, states that the application made by the petitioners would be decided within one month.

By accepting the statement made by the learned counsel for the Waqfs Board that would be binding on the Waqfs Board, we dispose of the writ petition with no order as to costs. JUDGE JUDGE Gulande, PA
