CORAM : A. B. CHAUDHARI, J.
DATE :
DECEMBER 8, 2015.
Heard learned counsel for the rival parties.
In crime No.92/2015, registered with Police Station, Umred, Dist. Nagpur for an offence punishable under Section 384, 501, 502 read with Section 34 of the IPC, the applicants, who are publisher of a fortnightly newspaper, are charged with extortion of money by conducting sting operation and threatening to publish the news in media with a view to extract money from people. It is seen that similar type of crimes are also registered against the applicants with Rajapeth Police Station, Amravati and also at Chimur.
There is increase in such types of offences of making extortion due to greed of money. The custody of the applicants is necessary in order to find out the material and also for seizing the same. No prima facie case is made out for grant of anticipatory bail. Hence, the application is liable to be rejected.
aba558.15 It is also seen that the complainant doctor is also misleading the patients by not providing the degree and registration number on his letter head by which the medicines are prescribed, though about his colleagues, the degrees have been specifically mentioned as MBBS, MS or as the case may be.
The complainant-doctor is warned to remove all the defects else action can be initiated against him. In view of above, following order is passed.
