The applicant is seeking bail in Crime No. 04 of 2014 registered with police station, Rajaram (Kha.), District Gadchiroli for the offence punishable under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.

The applicant was arrested on 21/10/2014 and since then he is in jail. The first informant is wife of the applicant. The offence is alleged to have occurred when the deceased Ravindra, son of the applicant intervened in the quarrel, which was going on between his mother and the applicant. The applicant is alleged to have inserted sickle in anger in the abdomen of his son Ravinda, who ultimately died. Admittedly, the charge-sheet has been filed. In that view of the matter, prima-facie the case is made out for grant of

0712ba830.15.odt 2/2 bail. But, in the interest of justice, apprehension of the prosecution will have to be protected. Hence, I make the following order.

ORDER

Criminal application (BA) No.830 of 2015 is allowed.

Applicant Dhananjay Shivram Shegaokar shall be released on bail on his furnishing P. R. Bond in the sum of Rs.20,000/- with one solvent surety in the like amount on the condition that he shall not enter the boundaries of village Rajaram (Kha.), Tahsil Aheri, District Gadchiroli till the trial is concluded. In case of breach of above condition, the bail bonds of the applicant shall stand cancelled. The order shall be informed by the concerned Police Station Officer to the first informant and other relatives.
