DATE : NOVEMBER 18 , 2016.

By this writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to consider the candidature of the petitioner for admission in the law college at Akola. The counsel for the respondents state that the cause for filing the writ petition has been rendered infructuous as the last date for admitting the students in the law colleges has expired and as per the directives of the Hon'ble Supreme Court, it would not be permissible for the colleges to admit the students after the cut-off date. On hearing the learned counsel for the respondents, we find that the cause for filing the writ petition has been rendered infructuous as no admissions could be made in the academic session 2016-17 after the cut-off date for admission, has expired.

Hence, we dismiss the writ petition with no order as to costs.
