We are not inclined to entertain this application under section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code (Code) which seeks quashing of FIR 0714/2022 registered at Police Station MIDC, Nagpur for offences punishable under sections 354-D, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code, for two reasons.

The first reason is that the report does disclose commission of cognizable offence. A prima facie case of stalking and threatening is made out on reading of the report. The submission of the learned counsel Mrs. Chaudhari that the report is lodged since the relationship went sour, is a matter of defence. 3.

The other reason is that the report is lodged on 24.09.2022 and the investigation is at an extremely nascent stage. We see no reason to nip the investigation in

The applicant is free to take appropriate steps after the completion of the investigation.

The application is dismissed.
