By this petition, the petitioner has sought a direction to the respondent no.1-Commissioner, Department of State Excise Mumbai and the respondent no.2-Superintendent, Department of State Excise Nagpur to consider the representations made by the petitioner and accordingly sanction and release additional quota of 9 lakh BL of spirit for production of alcohol during the license period 2015-16.

Shri A. V. Palshikar, the learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing for the respondents states on the basis of the affidavit in reply filed on behalf of the respondent no.1 that the

1702wp6285.15 representations made by the petitioner have been considered favourably and an additional BL quota of spirit to the extent of 7 lakh is approved-sanctioned. It is stated that the grievance of the petitioner should stand redressed as the representations made by the petitioner have been considered and the relief has been granted to a substantial extent.

Shri Gordey, the learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner states that the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed at this stage, in view of the statement made in the affidavit in reply and the order passed by the State Government on 16.01.2016.

In view of the aforesaid, we dispose of the writ petition with no order as to costs.
