The claim in this writ petition is that the Collector should be directed to permit the petitioners to cross-examine the Leader of the Party Shri Vijay Ambhore who has filed affidavit in the petition under Section 3 (1) (a) (b) of the Maharashtra Local Authority Members Disqualification Act, 1986 filed by respondent no. 2.

From the order-sheets produced before this Court, it is apparent that the matter is closed for orders and at this stage, I do not find any reason to interfere in the proceedings. Writ Petition is dismissed. All the questions are left open to be agitated in the proceedings challenging the order of disqualification, if any, passed by the Authorities concerned. JUDGE joshi
