Deshpande, J Dated : October 13, 2016 The challenge in this writ petition is to the rejection of nomination papers of the petitioners for eight posts in the borrower-member category to respondent no. 3 Society. The rejection is on the ground that the seconder in the nomination form is not a person from the borrowermember category and this was the condition mentioned at sr. no. 12 (1) of the election programme published on 17.9.2016. According to the learned counsel for the petitioners, separate list of members from the borrowers' category should have been published by the Election Officer as was done in the previous elections.

The nomination forms are not supported by the seconder from the borrower-member category and thus, fail to comply with the requirement of condition no. 12 (1) contained in the Election Programme published on 17.9.2016.
