It appears that during the pendency of the Writ Petition, the State Government has taken a decision on the proposal of the petitioners for permission to fill up the vacant posts of Senior Lecturers, Assistant Professors etc, and the same is rejected. Shri Jachak, the learned counsel for the petitioners states that the petitioners are desirous of challenging the said decision. The learned counsel seeks permission to withdraw the Writ Petition.

Permission to withdraw the Writ Petition is granted. The Writ Petition stands disposed of as withdrawn. The points raised in the Writ Petition are kept open. The petitioners are free to take appropriate steps against the order dated 29.9.2016, if so advised.

Order accordingly. No costs.
