Civil Application (W) No. 2678 of 2024 is taken out for directing to the respondent to decide the caste claim of the petitioner within a period of seven days.

Since this Court has already disposed of the petition on 03.09.2024 by setting aside the order passed by the Scrutiny Committee with a direction to decide the caste claim of the petitioner afresh and four months time was granted to the Scrutiny Committee for deciding the claim, from the date of appearance of the petitioner before the Committee, we do not deem it appropriate to entertain the application asking the Committee to decide the claim within a period of seven days as it would be asking the Committee to perform an impossible task as we are informed that presently the Vigilance Cell is conducting an enquiry to the claim of the petitioner.

903-CAW-2678-2024.odt 2 As the petitioner expresses an urgency, on being selected in CAP round on the seat reserved for Scheduled Tribe, in the Medical College of State of Maharashtra, it is open for the petitioner to seek appropriate relief by instituting appropriate proceedings. The civil application stands disposed of.
