DATE : November 23, 2022 The challenge raised in this writ petition is to the e-tender notice dated 01/11/2022 with regard to allotment of work to registered unemployed engineers. The submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that Government Resolution dated 23/07/2018 prescribes the ratio of distribution of such work amongst the Labour Co-operative Societies, Educated unemployed engineers and registered contractors which is 33%, 33% and 34%. This ratio has not been followed while issuing the e-tender notice. We however find that the petitioner No.1 is a member of the Municipal council while petitioner No.2 is a member of a Labour Cooperative Society. The cause is not being espoused by any educated unemployed engineer or by any registered contractor. The allotment of work to Labour Co-operative Societies exceeds 33%.

In this backdrop the learned counsel for the petitioners seeks permission to withdraw the writ petition to enable the petitioners to take appropriate steps. Permission granted.

The Writ petition is disposed of as withdrawn with aforesaid liberty. The points raised are kept open. No costs.
