The petitioners raise a grievance that the electricity connection that was being enjoyed in the shop premises operated by them was disconnected without due notice.
We find that there are various disputed issues that arise in the present proceedings. The petitioners allege that leave and licence agreement being entered into with the respondent no.3. According to the respondent nos. 1 and 2, since the electric meter stands in the name of the respondent no.3, the electric supply was disconnected at his request. Be that at it may, it is informed by the learned counsel for the petitioners that application seeking restoration of the electric supply has been moved by them today with the respondent no.2. The respondent no.2 shall consider the aforesaid application in accordance with law and take necessary decision. The respondent no.2 is free to seek compliance of the statutory requirements and call for necessary documents, if necessary. With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
