It is submitted that during the pendency of the petition, the petitioners submitted a proposal for approval of the staffing pattern to the Education Officer. Who has recommended the said proposal to the Deputy Director of Education on 14-02-2024. The Deputy Director of Education after satisfying the same, on 26-02-2024, recommended the said proposal to respondent no.2 for taking a decision on it and since then the same has been pending before it. That being so, the learned Advocate for the petitioners submitted that respondent No. 2 be directed to take a decision on the proposal dated 12-09-2023 in consonance with the recommendations of the Deputy Director of Education dated 26-02-2024.

In view of the same, we deem it appropriate to dispose of the petition with directions to respondent no.2 to take a decision

2 wp 1315.24.doc on the said proposal within a period of 12 weeks from the receipt of this order to him and communicate the decision to the petitioners immediately thereafter. No costs.
