The only prayer made by the petitioner is for a direction to the State Government to decide the appeal filed by the petitioner under Rule 82 (2) of the Maharashtra Minor Minerals Extraction (Development and Regulation) Rules, 2013.

Ms Khan, the learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing for the State Government, states that in case the appeal is not decided as yet, the same would be decided within a reasonable time.

Since the prayer made by the petitioner is innocuous, we dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the State Government to decide the appeal filed by the petitioner as early as possible and positively within a period of four months. Order accordingly. No costs. JUDGE JUDGE KHUNTE
