ATE : NOVEMBER 8 , 2023 Considering the limited relief sought, notice is made returnable forthwith. The learned Assistant Government Pleader waives notice for the respondents. 2] The petitioners have approached respondent no.2 with a prayer to inspect their land and assess the losses sustained by them and thereafter take steps to pay compensation. The said representation dated 20/5/2022 in that regard has been made to respondent no.2.

3] Considering the innocuous nature of prayer, the Writ Petition is disposed of by directing respondent no.2 to consider the petitioners' representation dated 20/5/2022 and take a decision thereon within a period of eight weeks of receiving copy of this order. In case the petitioners are not satisfied with the outcome of the said decision, they are free to adopt appropriate legal recourse in accordance with law.
