In the present case the award was passed on 13.03.2014 under the Land Acquisition Act, 1894.

Having regard to the time span prescribed, the applicability of Section 24 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 stands excluded.

In view thereof, since the petition lacks merits, the same stands dismissed. No costs.
