By this writ petition, the petitioner has sought a direction against the scrutiny committee to decide the caste claim within a time frame.

Shri Balpande, the learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing for the scrutiny committee, states on instructions that during the pendency of the writ petition, the caste claim of the petitioner is decided. It is stated that the caste validity certificate is issued in favour of the petitioner on 18.10.2016.

The purpose for filing the writ petition stands served in view of the subsequent development. Hence, we dispose of the writ petition with no order as to costs. JUDGE JUDGE APTE
