Heard learned counsel for the petitioner 2.

According to him, the application preferred by the petitioner under Section 39 of the Maharashtra Village Panchayat Act, 1959 (for short, the said Act) is pending before the respondent-Authority. 3.

Accordingly, considering the mandate of the said Act, we direct respondent-Authority to decide the application preferred by the petitioner under Section 39 of the Maharashtra Village Panchayat Act, within a period of six weeks from today.

The petitioner is directed to produce copy of this order before the respondent Authority within a period of one week. 5.

With these directions, the petition stands disposed of. No order as to costs.
