D ATE : MARCH 31 , 202 The father of the petitioner was in employment with the respondents as Technician. He died in harness on 19/1/1998. The petitioner's brother sought appointment on compassionate ground on 27/3/1998. During the period when the application was under consideration, the petitioner was receiving subsistence allowance. Since there was a delay in consideration of the said application, the petitioner sought her appointment on compassionate basis. On 6/2/2019, an order was issued by the respondents granting temporary appointment to the petitioner's brother. It is the case of the petitioner that he has not joined on the appointed post and hence the appointment order is liable to be cancelled.

In this backdrop, the petitioner has on 5/8/2022 made a representation to the respondents seeking her appointment on compassionate basis. 2] In these facts, respondent No.3 is directed to consider the petitioner's application dated 5/8/2022 on its own merits and take a decision thereon within a period of four weeks of receiving copy of the order. The decision taken be communicated to the petitioner.
