By this writ petition, the petitioner had sought a direction against the respondents to pay the arrears of the sixth pay commission and the consequential benefits to the petitioner.

It is stated on behalf of the parties that during the pendency of this writ petition, the representation of the petitioner was considered and rejected. The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner is desirous of challenging the order passed by the respondents in appropriate proceedings since the cause of action for filing this writ petition would not survive.

In view of the subsequent decision, the writ petition is disposed of with no order as to costs. The petitioner is free to challenge the decision of the respondents.
