It is informed that the claim of the petitioner for validity is pending before the respondent Committee. The Committee shall decide the claim of the petitioner within a period of six months from today, if not already decided. 3.

In case if the petitioner intends to give up the claim for issuance of validity, protection in service needs to be granted to him. It is open for the petitioner to approach before the employer with such a request within a period of four weeks from today.

In case if the request is made, the respondent employer will consider the claim of the petitioner in view of existing policy within a period of eight weeks thereafter.

Petition stands disposed of in above terms.
